Rattner Equities was born from a generational shift—rooted in entrepreneurial grit. The Rattner family business began with a single yellow cab owned and driven by Malcolm Rattner. Over many years of focus and hard work, Malcolm built one cab into a fleet and a large garage property in Brooklyn.
In 2020, Max Rattner joined Malcolm to lead the business while the Taxi business was at an inflection point. The garage's redevelopment became their sole focus and the foundation for something bigger. The Gowanus rezoning proved pivotal, unlocking the extraordinary value of the property through transit proximity and long-term patience.
Today, Max leads Rattner Equities, the second-generation nimble team that originates relationships and investments for high-conviction projects.
